Public Works Director - Town of Fairplay

The Town of Fairplay, Colorado announces a vacancy for the position of Public Works Director. The Town operates a full-time Public Works Department, including its own water utility, sewer, street and sidewalk repair and maintenance, building inspections, code enforcement, and repair and maintenance of Town buildings and grounds. Candidates for the position of Public Works Director should possess the following minimum qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in environmental studies, public administration, engineering, or a related field; three years of supervisory management experience and at least four years prior work experience in public works or any equivalent combination of training and experience that provides evidence that the applicant possesses the required knowledge, skills and proven capabilities in leadership, problem solving, strategic thinking, and knowledge of public works operations. Must possess a valid driver’s license and pass a background check. This exempt position offers a salary of $56,000 to $76,000 DOQ and includes an excellent benefit package.
