The Rocky Mountain Public Works Institute provides a regional program that educates and elevates public works employees, helping them achieve their management and leadership potential through interactive classes taught by experienced public works officials.  The Institute follows the proven APWA model that has been successfully implemented by a number of other APWA chapters throughout the country.

Core topics include:

• Basic management skills

• Communication skills

• Leadership skills

• Community service/customer orientation skills

• Legal understanding

• Fundamentals of government

• Finance

• Resource management skills

• Public works operations

Creating the future

The Rocky Mountain Public Works Institute 2020 class will be completing their classes in 2021.  PWI takes one year to complete.  The 2022 class has been filled.  If you would like to place your name on a waitlist in case of cancellation or for the 2023 class, please contact Pamela Weimer, Chapter Administrator at  Sessions begins in January of each year and concludes with the Colorado Annual Chapter Conference in the fall.
