Call for Papers - 2023 Annual Chapter Conference

The Colorado Chapter of the American Public Works Association (APWA) is requesting abstracts for presentation at the 9th Annual Chapter Conference to be held in October 2023. We are interested in creative and innovative presentations. You are invited to speak and share your public works experiences.

The theme for the 2023 Conference is GETTING IT DONE

Each year, new obstacles arise that make Public Works service delivery more challenging.  Public Works professionals are faced with continuing struggles related to the pandemic, labor shortages, rising inflation, and supply chain issues and must be nimble and innovative in their problem-solving approach.  The 2023 Annual Chapter Conference will focus on the strategies, methods, tools and technology we have used to deliver successful projects and essential services over the past year.  The committee is calling for papers that identify specific industry challenges and offer examples of successful solutions to address those challenges.  Whether it be applying a project mindset or strategy utilizing a specific problem-solving tool, developing a technology solution, or applying a new and innovative technique, we want to know how you've been getting the work done.  Share your ideas and collaborate so we can collectively continue to grow as an industry and realize continued success.

Deadlines:

May 1, 2023:  Abstract submittals due

June 1, 2023:  Notification of acceptance for presentation at conference.

Submittals will only be accepted using the attached submittal form.  Please complete the submittal form and return via email to Pamela at bdweimer@msn.com by May 1, 2023.  You will receive a confirmation email.
